“4 Tech” Income of GDAS in 2020 Ranks 4th among Public R&D Institutions in China

　　On June 29th, the China Technology Commercialization Annual Report 2021 (Universities and Research Institutes) was officially published and distributed cross country. The report, under the guidance of the Department of Research Commercialization and Regional Innovation, Ministry of Science and Technology, was written by the China Society of Science & Technology Evaluation and Achievement Management, the National Center of Science and Technology Evaluation, and the Institute of Scientific and Technical Information of China. The “4 Tech” income of GDAS in 2020 ranks 4th among the 2,121 public R&D institutions in China.

　　According to the report, GDAS's contract amount of technology transfer and commercialization added up to 872, 400, 700 yuan, involving the four tech categories of technology transfer (transfer, licensing, and investment), technology development, technology consulting, and technology services (referred to as the “4 Tech”). Comparing with the previous year, the amount increased by 32.6%, ranking 4th among all public research institutes, and 21st among the total of 3,554 institutes and universities in the country (3 place up). In addition, in the statistics of technology commercialization in the form of "production, education and research" that participated in the ranking for the first time in 2020, GDAS realized a contract amount of 848, 895, 900 yuan, ranking 1st among all regional scientific research institutes and universities, and the 15th among scientific research institutes.

　　Since the first publication of the "Report" in 2018, the "4 Tech" of GDAS has ranked among the top 10 scientific research institutes in the country and the first in Guangdong scientific research institutes for four consecutive years.
