GDAS attends the 1st Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Agricultural Sci-Tech Trade & Financing Fair

  On December 12th, 8 agricultural research institutes of GDAS participated in the 1st Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Agricultural Sci-Tech Trade & Financing Fair with 58 exhibits from 21 projects. GDAS Vice President ZHOU Zhouyu attended the launching ceremony; and, YE Zhenqin, Member of the Standing Committee of the Guangdong Provincial Party Committee and other government officials to visited the GDAS pavilion. 

  The GDAS exhibition is divided into four major sections of Good Land, Good Varieties, Good Products, and Good Methods, displaying the latest research projects and achievements in agriculture. Among them, the technologies that received the greatest attention included the “edible fungus cultivation technology” by the Institute of Microbiology, the “artificial cordyceps cultivation technology” by the Institute of Zoology, the “functional biodegradable seedling container technology” by the Institute of Bioengineering, the “LED artificial grow light products” by the Institute of Semiconductors, “key technologies for prevention and control of cadmium and arsenic pollution in farmland in the red soil areas” by the Institute of Eco-Environmental and Soil Sciences, “soil remediation and ecological planting technology” by the Institute of Chemical Engineering, “remote sensing estimation of the distribution of major provincial crops” by the Guangzhou Institute of Geography, and the “high-speed non-destructive screening of food and drugs based on hyperspectral sensing and artificial intelligence” by the Institute of Intelligent Manufacturing. The project “production technology of sugarcane juice fermented functional drinks with selenium-rich nano-polysaccharides” of the Institute of Bioengineering gave a roadshow and hanged out its shingle for public trading. 

  With the theme of “Seeds for Stronger Innovation in Agriculture, Talents for Shared Development in Guangdong”, the fair set up various sections such as transaction & financing, family farming, general hospitals, smart agriculture, future agriculture, technological transformation bidding, military-civilian integration, industrial poverty alleviation, and old-area support, attracting tens of thousands of visitors, including academicians, industry experts, global cooperative entities, government officials, and business representatives.
