  The construction of State Key Laboratory of Rare Metals Separation and Comprehensive Utilization was approved by by the Ministry of Science and Technology in 2010.

  The general orientation of the Laboratory is to carry out basic theory, applied basic theory and engineering research on the development and comprehensive utilization of strategic rare metals, which is oriented to the major national strategic needs and discipline development requirements. It is a multiple disciplinary integration of mineral processing, non-ferrous metal metallurgy, mineralogy, chemical engineering, environmental engineering, mechanical automation, materials science and other disciplines. It undertakes and completes major national tasks, supports the innovation and development of the industry, and trains professional and technical personnel. It has reached the international leading level in the field of separation and comprehensive utilization of rare metals, and has built a world-class state key laboratory.

  Main research interests:

  I. Research on Theory and Generic Technology of Rare Metal Comprehensive Recovery;

  2. Research on comprehensive recovery of symbiotic refractory rare metal ore;

  3. Research on pollution-free metallurgical technology and equipment of low grade complex rare metal ores;

  4. Research on the secondary recycling of rare metal resources and the treatment and recycling of three wastes.
