The National Engineering Laboratory for Modern Materials Surface Engineering Technology was approved by the National Development and Reform Commission in 2014.
Now, the society has strong need for major and important industries that key components should be resistant to high temperature and oxidation, ablation, corruption, abrasion, fatigue and irradiation. Therefore, the laboratory’s main task is to develop core, key and general technology for modern materials surface engineering, conduct research on high-performance coating materials, carry out engineering verification, and correspondingly develop key technology and productions that have independent intellectual property.
The laboratory also carries out cooperation, communication and research with industries and universities to cultivate talents, set up technological and industrial criteria, and push forward the application of major scientific and technological achievements, providing technological supports for strategic need of major engineering programs and key industries to Guangdong Province and to the whole country.
